ANALYSIS & EVIDENCE

Financial Approvals & Claims

The Board conducted a thorough review of the February month-end reports for the Register of Deeds, District Court, and Treasurer. Total payroll and claims across General and Road/Bridge funds were processed. Major expenditures included $14,774.89 for rock (Martin Marietta Materials), $11,819.70 for road repair (M E Collins), and $8,515.00 for reappraisal rural review (Central Plains Valuation).

Inter-Agency Cooperation

Key actions were taken to support regional services and infrastructure. The Board approved the regular and additional match funds for Region V Systems for FY26-27, ensuring continued support for mental health and substance use disorder programs. Additionally, the Board moved to provide a formal letter of support for Pawnee County RWD 1's federal grant application for system updates.

Public Safety & Maintenance

Discussions were held regarding courthouse security and communications. Sheriff Braden Lang and Nancy Tilton reviewed issues with automated "robo calls" on the phone system and the status of new security cameras. While Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner provided updates on the rock report and project lists, no formal action was taken on these items or the pending HVAC bid with Daiken Applied.
